Sew fun

Needles to say...

When I went to school and we had classes in handicraft, I thought that it was fun. We got to try to stitch, crochet, knit, color fabric and make tiny cute fluffy Moomin characters. We had even lessons in how to use a sewing machine. 

It was then that crazy thing happened. I was around 12 years old and sat infront a sewing machine. I had my fabrics ready, my thread and I just had to ”hit the gas”. And did I hit the gas! The needle went fast and right through my index finger on the right hand. With thread and all. No blood, but I had a dark blue thread through my finger. And it hurt. I must have been pale and near to faint. My friend helped me and we did not say a thing to the teacher.

NHL Funko Pop!

OMG! That was my first reaction when I saw the news about NHL players to become Pop! stars! As for me, this is a very nice combo - collecting Funko Pop! and hockey! Funko Pop! has already secured the rights to WWE, MLB and NBA athletes, so this will be another sports league marking their place on the shelves in Pop! form. The initial lineup will include ten players and some variants just exclusive for the collectors in Canada. Some toy stores in Canada have already put one of these figurines up for sale and other stores have promised that these will be in on October the 20th.

Animators’ Merida

Autumn’s first month is here, but we can still taste the sweetness of the summer. The sun is shining, the sky is blue and the wind is soft. The nights are rather chilly, so there is definitely a change going on.

During our trip to Denmark, we visited the Disney Store. I did not just buy a cute Funko Pop box, but even an Animators Mini Doll set. Could not resist! One of the walls had shelfs filled with Disney Animators’ in all kind of sizes and I did not know which one to pick. Had to make a quick decision when one of the workers came and said that they will close in 10 minutes.
